There is a consideration to introducing virtual courts in Namibia during the current financial year to reduce the backlog of court cases.

This is according to the Judiciary Executive Director, who indicated that massive financial resources are needed to make the dream a reality.

In the Windhoek High Court, Judge Christi Liebenberg has acquitted siblings Azaan Madisia (30) and Steven Mulundu (25) on a charge of murder.

Community members at Walvis Bay have condemned the not-guilty verdict of Azaan Madisia (30) and her brother and co-accused, Steven Mulundu (25).

The pair stood accused of murdering 22-year-old Shannon Wasserfall, a close friend of Madisia, in April 2020.
