The government has, to date, acquired 20,248 hectares of land for a total cost of N$19 million to develop the Neckartal Dam irrigation scheme project. 

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Natural Resources has condemned the presentation by the Ministry of Mines and Energy as incomprehensible and lacking in detail.

The ministry's representative, Mathew Mukosho, made the presentation during the committee's oversight engagement in Keetmanshoop.

Cabinet has approved a headquarters agreement for the Walvis Bay–Ndola–Lubumbashi (WBNL) Development Corridor Management Committee in Windhoek, the government announced on Tuesday.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, has announced the end of the cholera outbreak in Grootfontein and Opuwo. Dr Luvindao said the last two confirmed cholera cases were reported on 22 March in the Opuwo district.

Namibia has called for stronger cooperation between countries sharing rivers and water resources, warning that transboundary water management is falling behind and could undermine progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
