Vice President Lucia Witbooi continued her official visit in the Omaheke Region, stopping at Drimiopsis and Otjinene, where she met with learners, community members and marginalised groups.

Classes are underway at the University of Namibia (UNAM) main campus and its satellite campuses, but for many senior students, the real hurdle is not the syllabus – it's the overdue balance. 

Namibia College of Open Learning's Director for Student Support, Dr. Ndeshimona Afunde, says the institution's mandate is to widen access to education through alternative learning opportunities and models.

The bail application of NAMDIA theft accused, Joel Angula, commenced on Tuesday in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court.

Angula is one of the suspects in the NAMDIA heist, where 412 parcels of diamonds were recorded missing from the safe.
