Blue Waters beat Orlando Pirates in Namibia Premier League thriller.

Blue Waters upset Orlando Pirates on Saturday in the Namibia Premier League, in a match that Pirates dominated and could have won at Sam Nujoma stadium in Windhoek. Unfortunately, however, they appeared to be wasteful. Orlando Pirates went into this game sitting 10th on the log standing. The intention was clear from the start at Terdius Uiseb charged forward in the third minute and could not finish. Nicky Musambani was next to threaten the visitors' goal but he too missed his chance. The opening goal came in the 7th minute when Donovan Swartz slotted a clever pass to Uiseb, who beat goalkeeper Minengombe Moses. Pirates almost went two-nill up when Blue Waters' defence stood still as Musambani scored but was judged to have been in an offside position. Pirates went into that second half with that one goal advantage. But Blue Waters came back a rejuvenated side after the break and on the 50th minute mark a freekick saw them have a scuffle in front of the goal. Then a miscue and a gifting header to Pirates goalkeeper followed as the coastal side posed their first real question. Pirates should have sealed the game when Enrico Hoebeb chipped the goalkeeper but as he was about to finish all his hard work, Nicky Musambani who was in an offside position came surging with a header to score what was a disallowed goal. Simple communication gone wrong when it mattered the most. Deon Tjimumaue then punished Pirates for their indecisiveness with a decisive volley to level the game. Blue Waters were not done as Hilarius Brakius beat the offside trap and turned the defender to finish off a move and stun Pirates. 2-1 is how the encounter ended in favour of Blue Waters who were ecstatic at their finish as Coach Festus Kalimba explains. "I am very happy with my team's performance today. It's quite a relatively young squad that we have here and I am happy. Our aim is to finish in the top 4." Pirates' Coach Ivan Namaseb was irked by the referee's decisions, saying it cost them the game. "I do not want to talk about the referees but when you have decisions go against you like that clear offside then I am disappointed. Apart from that Pirates is a Big team and the fans are not happy but we will still work hard to achieve our target of finishing in the top five."
