Kautondokwa close to a world battle-Tobias

Windhoek- The most recent World Boxing Organisation's rating has put Namibia's Walter Kautondokwa at number 2 in his division. Kautondokwa's promoter, Nestor Tobias, believes that the latest ranking will finally clear the path for him to fight for the WBO Middleweight world title. As it stands, the undefeated Walter Kautondokwa is rated second to Demetrius Andrade. However, today's press release by the MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing and Fitness Academy confirmed that Andrade will challenge the current champion Billy Joe Saunders, on the 20th of October at the TD Garden in Boston, USA. As soon as they step in the ring, Nestor expects the WBO to declare Kautondokwa the mandatory challenger at number 1. Nestor believes that such a fight could happen in the 1st quarter of 2019 and he plans for another fight for Kautondokwa to keep him in shape. “I know that Kautondokwa is the future of the Middleweight division. His work rate and disciplined has been incredibly high and I cannot wait for him to make the most of such an opportunity and become Namibia's 5th world champion" Tobias said. The 33-year-old Kautondokwa remains undefeated after 17 fights, 16 of which he won via knock-out.
