Team Namibia to face China named

Team Namibia coach Timo Tjongarero has named the starting eleven to face China in the China Football Association (CFA) International Friendlies to be played on Monday, 13h35 Namibian time at the Wanzhou Stadium in Chongqing. Namibia’s national under-23 side will take on China in two friendly games during their week-long tour and the first match takes place Monday and the second game to be played on Thursday before the team returns back to Windhoek on Friday afternoon. For today’s match, Black Africa goalkeeper Calvin Spiegel will be in goal and in defence Mighty Gunners man Kennedy Eib will lead the line with Petrus Kamati on the right and Baloyi Tsandib of Tura Magic on the left. Hubert Mingeri of Life Fighters starts on the right hand of midfield with captain Pandeni Kandjabanga of UNAM FC and A and the big-hearted Arrows man Lubeni Haukongo on the left of midfield. Another Arrows youngster Rivaldo Festus will play between the midfield and attack and links up with the two front men in African Stars’ Romario Hawiseb and Wisely Kauua of Arrows. Starting line-up against team Namibia: Spiegel Calvin, Kauua Wisely, Tsandib Baloyi, Kamati Petrus, Petrus Aprocius, Hawiseb Romario, Haukongo Lubeni, Festus Rivaldo, //Eib Kennedy and Kandjabanga Pandeni. Brendon Kotungondo sits out today’s match while the following players will be on the bench: Abel Paulus, Kambato Uetuuru, Nauseb Giovanni, Shikongo Israel, Kasume Romeo, Kham Anthony, Neibeb Brandon, Naweseb McCartney and Katjivena Hiha. Meanwhile, Team Namibia Management had a luncheon at the behest of the host as the Deputy Secretary General of the CFA Qi Jun was joined by Wu Hongwei, the Deputy District Governor; the Director of Sports in the District Xiong Gang; Du Xuaeyong, the Deputy Secretary General of Wanzhou FA and the CFA Competitions Coordinator Guo Jixiang; to welcome the team to the Wanzhou District in the Greater Chongqing Region. The Chinese hosts reiterated their support for Team Namibia and called on the strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries over the two games.
