For a decade, Ethiopian Airlines has connected Namibia to the world, strengthening links in tourism, business and international travel. Its relationship with Namibia, however, goes beyond aviation, with roots dating back to the country's liberation struggle.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has distanced itself from a document circulating detailing purported discussions between Namibia and Ethiopian Airlines over the establishment of the proposed national carrier, Namibia Air.
