Wanderers dominates NRU Club 7

Wanderers Rugby Club dominated the NRU Club sevens at the Hage Geingob Stadium over the weekend.

The Namibia Rugby Union hosted its first Club sevens competition for the year. The tournament saw Wanderers walking away with both the Reserve and Premiere League titles.

In the Reserve league, Wanderers beat Western Suburbs 24-12.

The men in white ran in a total of four tries through Elgeno Gamatham, Ethan Williams, Reben Botha & Sheron Rosouw

Western Suburbs on the other hand scored two tries through Dwayne van Zyl and Daniel September.

Kudus take 10's Rugby Premier men's title

The Blue Machine from the coast, Kudus, scooped the premiere league title, while United took the reserve title in the United 10's tournament.

Kudus' Geraldo Beukes found the try line first - converting his own try to take the lead. Wanderers, however, answered back with an unconverted try by Dandre Schreuder. 

Half time score - Kudus 7; Wanderers 5. In the second half, Wanderers scored first but Kudus scored two consecutive tries for a comfortable lead. 

Meanwhile, Wanderers only managed one more consolation try. The final score - Kudus 21; Wanderers 17.
