WEEKEND CRIME | The Namibian Police report four suicides and one sudden death over the weekend.

A senior citizen, 72-year-old Julius Hengombe, was found hanging from a wire under a tree at the Ojikango Ekwenya village in the Otjozondjpa Region. No suicide note was found.

26-year-old Ndara Eveline Mbava was found hanging from a tree with a piece of cloth around her neck. The incident occurred in the bushes at the Mabiye beach area next to the Kavango river.

Rehoboth tops the list of drug busts over the Easter weekend.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at Rehoboth after he was found in possession of four full and one-quarter Mandrax tablets, valued at N$550. 

Another Rehoboth resident, a 39-year-old man, was also arrested after he was found with 16 bankies of cannabis valued at N$160.

A 33-year-old man was also arrested in the same town after he was found in possession of one parcel of pure skunk valued at N$1200.

CRIME REPORT | Baby drowns in a bucket

A 16-month-old baby died after he allegedly drowned in a bucket.

The baby was left in the house with a 9-year-old minor at the time of the incident.

His body has been transported to the Okahao police mortuary for an autopsy.

The incident occurred in the Uukwalumbe village in the Omusati Region.

In another incident, 18-year-old Angala Reinold's remains were found in a well in the Omusati Region's Ogongo Constituency.
