NamWater has decreased water supply to the City of Windhoek from 75% to 40% of the total demand.

This is because three dams supplying water to Windhoek are running low due to a minimal inflow during the rainy season.

This came to light during the council's meeting.

Residents of the Suncity location at Rundu have been without running water for months. 

They have now resorted to collecting water from the supply lines found above the ground. 

Sewage removal and water supply business owners at Rundu are unhappy with the order by the local town council for them to stop fetching water at the Rundu beach.

This, they claim, will severely affect their business.

The Outjo Town Council has drilled a larger borehole to increase the water supply to the town and address water supply challenges.

The farming community in the vicinity of Kaukurus in the Omaheke Region's Gobabis Constituency met to discuss developmental matters as an encouragement for the residents to take ownership of development in the region.
