The Otjombinde community has expressed renewed hope following the establishment of a 16-hectare community garden in the area. 

Eight hectares of the garden are already under cultivation.

Former Otjombinde councillor Aaron Marenga buried

Former Otjombinde constituency councillor and Omaheke secretary of the Swapo Party Elders Council, Aaron Marenga, was buried over the weekend in Okatuuo Village.

Marenga died about a week ago aged 65.

He served as Otjombinde Councillor from 2009 to 2015.

Late Archbishop Julius Hoveka buried in Otjombinde

The late Archbishop Julius Hoveka of Father Tjijombo St John's Faith Mission was buried in Otjombinde, in the Omaheke Region, on Sunday.

The recently ordained Archbishop died last week in Windhoek at the age of 82.
