President Hage Geingob has conferred an official funeral on the late Pelagia Eelu, who died in a Windhoek hospital on May 4.

Eelu was a supporter of the country's liberation struggle, with her house serving as an operational base for PLAN combatants in the 1980s.

About N$41,8 million has been spent as compensation for human-wildlife conflict-related issues since 2009.

This is contained in a report presented by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism at the just-ended National Human-Wildlife Conflict (HWC) in Windhoek.

The Namibia Deposit Guarantee Authority (NDGA) launched its three year strategic plan, covering 2023 to 2025 in Windhoek. 

The strategic plan will ensure effective collaboration among stakeholders and continuous public engagement.
