Chief Justice Peter Shivute said mental health and overall well-being are central for judicial officers and administrative staff.

The Magistrates’ and Judges’ Association of Namibia (MJA) has expressed deep concern over the safety and security of judicial officers following a brazen arson attack on the Gobabis Magistrate’s Court. 

The security of judicial officers in Namibia is worrisome, as they are often attacked by family members of accused persons.
