The remembrance and celebration of the legacy of late President Hage Geingob continue,  with the latest one being Namibia's diplomatic mission to Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, known as the Benelux countries.

The late President Geingob personified Namibia's relationship with European countries and ensured that this was anchored on the concept of mutual benefits.

Nostalgia over his deeds still lingers around a month after his burial, and the Namibian Embassy to the Benelux countries fondly recalled the impact of the late leader.

Namibia and the Benelux countries have agreed to waive visas for diplomatic and official passport holders, in addition to signing the re-admission agreement.

The Benelux Union is made up of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxemburg.

The modalities of the agreement to waive visas for diplomatic and official passport holders are still being worked out, including the date on which it will come into effect.
