The Divundu Muhembo border post road, which connects Namibia to Botswana and other SADC countries, is set to be upgraded to a bitumen standard road.
This was announced during a community meeting held at the Muhembo border post by the Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa.
The Hambukushu Traditional Authority is against the proposal to have the border between the Zambezi and Kavango East regions shifted into some parts of the Mukwe Constituency.
An office building that was constructed five years ago to accommodate staff members of the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism in the Kavango East Region's Mukwe Constituency is yet to be occupied.
The building is now dilapidated.
Villagers at Mayara and Kavurira villages in the Kavango East Region's Mukwe Constituency are calling on the Rural Water Supply Department to deliver water to them.
