Omugulugwombashe road construction progress

Visible progress is being made on the ongoing upgrade of the Omungulugwombashe gravel road, which is being upgraded by the government to low-volume tarred road standard.

The government has allocated N$35 million for the 22-kilometre road from Tsandi to the Omugulugwoombashe memorial shrine.

Men top suicide list

679 cases of suicide have been reported in Namibia since last year, of which 82% were men.

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, stated that the suicide rate among men is high because men are discouraged from seeking help because they are often labelled as weak.

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo says the most commonly used drugs in the country are cannabis, mandrax, heroin, meth, crack cocaine, and power.

SPWC amends constitution
