Nathaniel Christiaan named new Bondelswarts Captain

The Christiaan Royal House has unanimously resolved to designate Nathaniel Christiaan as the new captain of the Bondelswarts tribe. 

Traditional Councillor Amalia Alberts says the application for Christiaan's designation has already been forwarded to relevant authorities for processing. 

UNAM inaugurates Technology Centre Keetmanshoop

The University of Namibia inaugurated the Rhino-Halliburton Technology Centre at its Southern Campus in Keetmanshoop. 

The state-of-the-art facility will improve research and practical training in petroleum geology, engineering geology, geophysics, and data analysis.

The rising rate of school dropouts at Suiderlig High School in Keetmanshoop, ||Kharas Region, has become a serious concern. This year alone, 21 learners have left school, a significant increase from just six dropouts recorded last year.

Health Ministry boosts mental health efforts as suicides reach 542

542 people have committed suicide thus far, and the Health Ministry is intensifying efforts to create awareness and advocate for mental health education in the ||Kharas and Hardap regions ahead of World Mental Health Day. 

The day is commemorated each year on the 10th of December.
