The ||Kharas Regional Council has introduced the flexible land tenure scheme at Aussenkehr Settlement to improve the living conditions of locals, most of them still living in reed houses.

The Swapo Party National Leader assigned to the ||Kharas Region, Tom Alweendo, has urged the electorate to entrust the party with another term of office come the 27 November national and presidential elections.

The ||Kharas Region's Swapo Party branch has generated more than N$500,000 in pledges towards the national elections campaign during a fundraising dinner at Oranjemund. 

The Swapo Party Central Committee member, Usko Nghaamwa, pledged the highest amount of N$100,000.

One of the councillors affected by the decision taken by the ||Kharas Regional Council Chairperson, Joseph Isaack, to suspend the salaries of three councillors representing the Swapo Party on the council, Lazarus Nangolo, has described the suspension of their salaries as illegal. 

The ||Kharas Regional Council Chairperson, Joseph Isaack, says he won't back down from his recent decision to suspend the salaries of three councillors representing the Swapo Party in council amid a legal threat. 

The councillors are Lazarus Nangolo, Suzan Ndjaleka, and Taaimy Amakali. 

The Namibia Training Authority (NTA) aims to establish formal technical vocational education and training (TVET) systems in its endeavour to address the issue of unemployment. 

With only about two days to go before the voter registration ends, the Keetmanshoop Urban Constituency still has the lowest voter registration turnout among the seven constituencies in the ||Kharas Region.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security has so far received about 90,000 identification document (ID) applications countrywide during the ongoing mass registration for national documents campaign. 

The organisers of the Keetmanshoop Agriculture, Industrial, and Tourism Expo have raised more than N$100,000 for this year's event, scheduled to take place from October 29 to November 2.
