Census data shows Khoekhoegowab is spoken in only 8.7% of |Khomas households, compared to Oshikwanyama at 21%, Afrikaans at 14.9%, and Oshindonga at 10.9%.

Stakeholders met to discuss the nomination of the Daures/Brandberg National Monument Area for UNESCO World Heritage status.

The Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain, is renowned for its rich palaeo-archaeological heritage, hosting more than 43,000 rock paintings and endemic flora and fauna.

With Namibia rounding off Heritage Week last month, the National Heritage Council (NHC) has announced that it is preparing to nominate Brandberg for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 

Namibia currently has two sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Miss Teen Namibia dazzles in San-inspired costume in Jaipur

Miss Teen International Namibia, Elaine Engelbrecht, showcased the national costume, which is inspired by the San people, at the pageant being held in Jaipur, India.

The costume is a celebration of Namibia's heritage, paying homage to the San people's culture and deep connection with nature.
