Keetmanshoop Municipality employee Hansina Isaacks is threatening legal action after her employer failed to adjust her salary and benefits after she was promoted to a higher rank.

She argues that the unpaid salary and benefits she is entitled to amount to N$1.3 million. 

The residents of an informal transit settlement area, created by the Keetmanshoop Municipality for people on the waiting list to be allocated land, commended the Namibian Government for maintaining 34 years of peace and stability.

The Ministry of Rural and Urban Development (MURD) has given its approval for the Keetmanshoop Municipality's operational budget for the 2023–2024 period, amounting to a substantial N$296.8 million.
