President Mbumba reflects on humble beginnings on 83rd birthday

Today, August 15, President Nangolo Mbumba turned 83 years old. 

Born in the village of Olukonda in the Oshikoto Region on August 15, 1941, President Mbumba started his professional career as a teacher and eventually achieved his ambition to become a headmaster. 

PDM concerned over transition period of election administrations

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) says it is concerned about the transition period of administrations, that is three months after elections are held.

President Nangolo Mbumba, however, says the matter should be dealt with by Parliament.

President Nangolo Mbumba has encouraged Namibians to develop sports facilities such as stadiums and take care of them for the overall betterment of the country.

Dr. Mbumba undertook a site visit to the Ongos Valley and Sports Village on the outskirts of Windhoek today.

Zambezi Development Association removes boundary signboard in protest

The Zambezi Development Association (ZDA) has removed the sign board of the Zambezi Regional boundary with the Kavango East Region and attempted to hand it over to the 5th Boundaries Delimitation and Demarcation Commission at Katima Mulilo on Tuesday. 

ZDA is a pressure group headed by Blessing Maanda.
