Namibia has called for continued climate financing and stronger cooperation with the Green Climate Fund to strengthen resilience against climate change and recurring droughts.

The !Gai-||naxas Farmers Development Cooperative in the ||Kharas Region has distributed goats to its members through a profit-sharing initiative. 

Livestock farmer Joppie Cloete has overcome challenges and achieved great success on a resettlement farm through hard work and ingenuity.

Speaking to nbc News in an interview, Cloete explains that he diversified his operations in response to the ongoing drought conditions across the country.

India's government is assisting Namibia with grain and other food items for the drought relief programme.

The outgoing High Commissioner of India, Mandarapu Subbarayudu, revealed this during a farewell courtesy call on President Nangolo Mbumba at State House.
