Venezuela celebrates Africa Day, strengthens ties with continent

Venezuela held a weeklong celebration, marking Africa Day.

Speaking at the close of the 20th World Africa Week in the capital, Caracas, Venezuela, Foreign Affairs Minister Yvan Gil pointed out that economic cooperation with the African continent is poised for growth.

Former teacher walks 10,880 km across Africa

A former American teacher, Brian Stupek, has taken it upon himself to embark on a 10,880-kilometre walk across the African continent to spread awareness about sound mental health. 

Stupek's initiative Walking Africa started in Cape Town on 26 June 2024 and is expected to end in Tunisia, northern Africa.
