SWAPO Party member Reinhold Shipwikineni has issued an apology to the party following a High Court ruling.

The National Democratic Party's leadership celebrated the party's 22-year anniversary. 

NDP president Martin Lukato said that, although the party was formed in 2003, it was only officially registered with the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) in 2004. 

Swapo Party President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said lawmakers elected on the party's ticket have no reason not to coordinate their work and deliver quality services to the people.

Knowledge Ipinge, who returned to the ruling party in September this year, said he never left the party, nor was he expelled.

He explained that, as a result, he remained a member of Swapo.

The National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) has suspended twelve members with immediate effect.
