Ju|'Hoansi Traditional Authority's senior Traditional Councillor has expressed concerns over the low number of Ju|'Hoansi-speaking learners completing school.

Community members in the Tsumkwe settlement have raised concerns that some grocery shops offering FNB CashPlus agent services are pressuring customers to buy goods of more than N$100 before they can withdraw money.

Duinepos residents are unhappy with the proposed merger of the Duinepos Village School with the Duin/ui Village School.

The school is one of the 6 village schools under the Nyae Nyae Village Schools Project in the Otjozondjupa Region's Tsumkwe constituency.

It remains a challenge for the San community in Tsumkwe Constituency's ||Nhoma settlement to put bread and other basic necessities on the table.

Allegations of political campaigning with drought relief food as a promise were raised at Ben-Se Kamp, some 53 kilometres east of Tsumkwe, close to the Botswana border.

The NBC News team visited the secluded settlement.  

The OvaHerero community, which returned from Botswana in September last year, says it remains optimistic about the promises made by the authorities upon their arrival in Namibia.

The Ju|'Hoansi Living Museum at Grasshoek, a settlement in the Tsumkwe Constituency, is still not recognised by the traditional leadership, despite having been in existence for 20 years.

The living museum is one of just two institutions of its kind.

The Tsumkwe community celebrated Human Rights Day as organised by the //Ana-Djeh Trust. 

The founder of the trust, Kielenie Fernando, explained that the intention of hosting the day was to make the community members aware of their rights.
