President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says education remains Namibia's most powerful tool to build an inclusive and prosperous society.

||Kharas Governor Dawid Gertze has raised concerns over the mushrooming of unaccredited institutions. 

He made these remarks at the one-day Namibia National Qualifications Authority (NQA) information session held in Keetmanshoop on Thursday.

Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Sanet Steenkamp has called for renewed commitment to learners' dignity, well-being and access to quality education as Namibia joins the rest of Africa in commemorating the Day of the African Child. 

The ||Kharas Education Directorate Director Nicolaas Eiman said the Directorate's approach for the current academic year will be evidence-based, collaborative, and learner-centered to improve both access to quality education and learner achievement.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, Youth, Civic Relations and Community Development has praised the Education Ministry for its investment in infrastructure, ensuring that rural schools are not neglected.

Expansion of agricultural and water projects, access to quality education, and diversification of trade products are some of the priorities of the newly appointed governors.
