82 arrested in Katima Mulilo timber smuggling bust

Forty-six Zambian and 36 Namibian nationals have been arrested on Wednesday in Katima Mulilo's Cowboy location for smuggling timber into the country.


Katima Mulilo Police Station Commander Charles Mayumbelo said the consignment of timber was discovered during the police inspection.
 

Zambezi Chief Regional Officer Regina Ndopu suspended

Thieves steal property valued at N$12,500 in Katima Mulilo housebreaking

A Zambian national was arrested after a police stakeout in Katima Mulilo's NHE Location when he and three more suspects were found breaking into a house on Saturday.

It is reported that the suspects broke into a house at the NHE location on Saturday and stole items valued at N$12,500.
