The Katima Mulilo Town Council has begun relocating residents affected by heavy rains from the Dairy Location to the Ngweze Community Hall.

Mbambazi Primary School in the Zambezi Region received a generous donation of school uniforms and other essentials courtesy of HITO HR Consultancy. 

Founder of HITO HR Consultancy, Lisa Matomola partnered with 32 other individuals in coming to the school's aid. 

MeatCo conducted a strategic review and planning session for the year ahead at Katima Mulilo. 

During the session, MeatCo Interim Chief Executive Officer Albertus !Aochamub highlighted that despite Namibia meeting all set protocols by importing countries, there is still a problem with supply. 

Mbambazi Primary School in the Zambezi Region received school uniforms and essentials from businesswoman Lisa Matomola and 32 partners.

In a speech read on her behalf, Matomola described the uniform as more than clothing, a symbol of equality that helps learners focus on studies.

Five accused out of the 11 suspects arrested over the alleged assault of a 58-year-old male teacher during a land dispute appeared before Magistrate Laina Namboga at the Katima Mulilo Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

They were granted bail of N$2,000 each.

The Namibian Police are investigating two counter cases stemming from a land dispute in the Kanono area of the Zambezi Region, which led to the arrest of 11 suspects.

Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Fisheries, and Land Reform, led by Deputy Minister Ruth Masake, held a meeting with youth in the Zambezi Region to discuss opportunities and challenges they face.

Drought conditions and the absence of locally produced fish feed continue to hamper the aquaculture sector.
