The Namibian police in the ||Kharas Region say they are fully prepared for the upcoming elections, with manpower and resources deployed to ensure safe and smooth voting.

The First Gentleman of Namibia, Lt Gen. Epaphras Denga Ndaitwah, addressed crime statistics in the ||Kharas Region, calling for urgent action to tackle root causes at the official opening of a Men's Conference in Keetmanshoop.

Young people from the ||Kharas Region want leaders who will actively empower them and solve challenges, not just for political gains.

These were the remarks by the National Youth Council's regional coordinator for ||Kharas, Drusilla Abed, during an interview with NBC News. 

The issuing of duplicate voter cards in Keetmanshoop commenced today, but the election official said the process is already off to a slow start.

The process which started today ends on the 23rd of November.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) Regional Electoral Officer for the ||Kharas Region, Jejamaie Mujoro, has said the election team is almost ready, as over 150 officials participated in a one-day Results Management training at the Westdene Community Hall in Keetmanshoop.

Sensitive election materials for ||Kharas Region have arrived in Keetmanshoop as preparations continue for the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections set for 26 November.

Members of the Landless People's Movement (LPM) have expressed dismay over the exclusion of the party from participating in the upcoming November Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections in some towns and villages.
