Swiss holiday airline Edelweiss has launched a new non-stop service between Windhoek and Zurich, marking a new direct connection between Namibia and Switzerland.

Residents of the Goreangab constituency in Windhoek will now no longer have to travel long distances for shopping.

This follows the opening of the Goreangab Mall, a N$270 million development.

Meanwhile, a cattle parade show at the Omaludi Festival was called off at the last minute after an untested buffalo was spotted roaming the Okongo area.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah announced the cancellation and apologised to exhibitors and visitors who traditionally enjoy the segment.

President Netumb Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the theme for this year's Omaludi Festival and Agricultural Show aligns closely with the government's development priorities and the goals outlined in the Sixth National Development Plan (NDP6)

The Governor of the Ohangwena Region, Kadiva Hamutumwa, has emphasised the importance of workers' welfare and strong labour relations on the Ondobe-Eenhana Road Rehabilitation Project.
