Former Keetmanshoop mayor Melody Swartbooi has set the record straight on her removal as LPM council representative by the party, denying any wrongdoing that may have triggered the move.

Residents of Keetmanshoop have questioned the legality of the Landless People's Movement's decision to withdraw former Mayor Melody Swartbooi as its representative on the Keetmanshoop Town Council.

The withdrawal resulted in Swartbooi losing her mayor position.
