Business community welcomes FlyNamibia Luderitz route

Business people in Luderitz have welcomed the recent introduction of the flight route by FlyNamibia connecting Eros Airport to the southern coastal town. 

FlyNamibia says the introduction of the new route created opportunities for Namibians and international travellers, providing seamless access to Luderitz and its potential economic expansion.

Business community urged to promote investment at home and internationally through trade

The Minister of Trade and Industrialisation Lucia Iipumbu has urged the business community to promote investment opportunities at home and internationally through trade.

Ipumbu says as the custodian of business development in the country, the ministry will continue to look at different avenues to assist businesses to develop and grow.

During this financial year, the ministry plans to roll out the limited support programme and facilities aimed at assisting the SME sector to grow.

The programme will kick off with the training of young entrepreneurs.

MIT in collaboration with UNDP engages Zambezi Region business community

The Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade, in collaboration with the Namibia Trade Forum and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), recently held an engagement with the business community in the Zambezi Region.

The engagement involved sensitizing business owners on the opportunities and benefits presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement and sharing information on them.

Namibia's business community urged to familiarise themselves with Liquor Act

The business community has been urged to familiarise itself with the Liquor Act and the National Consumer Protection Policy to protect themselves and their businesses against unfair practices.

The call was made by the Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu, at a stakeholder engagement dealing with these two legal framework documents.
