Namibia, Ghana elevate cooperation with bi-national commission


Namibia and Ghana have agreed to upgrade their Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation to a bi-national commission.

This move will further strengthen the relations between the two countries.

Senior officials are currently meeting for the 5th session of the Namibia-Ghana Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation in Swakopmund.

Both countries emphasise their excellent bilateral relations.

Erongo RED Declares N$10,2 Million Dividend 


Erongo Regional Electricity Distributor has declared dividends of N$10,2 million.

The announcement was made by Erongo Red's Chief Executive, Immanuel !Hanabeb, in Walvis Bay.

!Hanabeb stated that during the period under review, the company provided subsidies totaling N$24 million to pensioners and vulnerable individuals. Additionally, nearly N$500,000 was spent on various corporate social responsibility activities, including graduate programs and job attachment opportunities. 

Prime Minister engages Omaheke regional leadership on socio-economic development


Housing provision, socioeconomic aspects and agriculture, amongst others, were at the top of the agenda of issues discussed during the engagement between the Omaheke regional leadership, various heads of departments and Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila at Gobabis.

Omaheke Regional Governor Pijoo Nganate welcomed the initiative taken by the Prime Minister to engage the regional heads and provide updates on issues relating to development.
