Young people centre of attention at Inter-Regional Meeting of Bishops of Southern Africa

Breadcrumb

Young people are the centre of attention at the Inter-Regional Meeting of Bishops of Southern Africa, IMBISA, underway in Windhoek.

This is the first time Namibia has hosted the IMBISA conference since its inception in 1975.

The meeting of Catholic Bishops that takes place every third year brings together bishops from nine southern African countries.

The conference is this year held under the theme "Building Together-Reimagining the Church's involvement with young people in the IMBISA region in the light of the Exhortation of Pope Francis, Christus Vivit."
