The Swapo Party Vice President has directed all party members and supporters to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner ahead of the national elections on November 27. 

The Governor of ||Kharas, Aletha Frederick, has called for a gender-responsive resource budget allocation in addressing gender disparities.

She made the call at an induction workshop for the Police Women's Network for Focal Point Persons at Keetmanshoop.

Senior citizens lodging at Keetmanshoop state-owned Daan Viljoen Old Age Home expressed their gratitude for the positive impact of government initiatives intended to enhance their lives. 

They shared sentiments reflecting on their lives and challenges on International Older Persons Day. 

||Kharas Governor, Aletha Fredrick, has urged learners, educators, and parents to actively create reading opportunities for children. 

She made the call at a celebration ceremony for Readathon Week, held at Keetmanshoop. 

The inaugural NBC Fun Run in Keetmanshoop, ||Kharas region, attracted around 120 enthusiastic participants.

Runners tackled distances of 21 km, 10 km, 7 km, and 5 km, all while enjoying the excitement of the event.

Namibian Broadcasting Corporation's (nbc) Director General Stanley Similo hosted a thank-you party to recognise the commitment and diligence of staff at the nbc's Keetmanshoop Contribution Centre. 

A group of Keetmanshoop residents alleged nepotism in the appointments at the municipality as well as unfair labour practices. 

The protesters, in a petition, accused the acting HR Strategic Executive Manager, Adam Isaack, of alleged nepotism. 

The Minister of Works and Transport, John Mutorwa, has underscored the crucial role the road network plays as a lifeline of communities. 

He said this while officiating at the opening of the recently rehabilitated portion of the Tses to !Gochas B1 road between Keetmanshoop and Mariental.

The Swapo Party National Leader assigned to the ||Kharas Region, Tom Alweendo, has reminded party members that election campaign messages will determine the outcome of the November 27 national elections. 

He made the remarks at the party's regional elective conference held at Keetmanshoop.
