Windhoek municipality awaits approval from MURD to appoint next CEO

The Windhoek Municipality is still waiting for the approval of the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development on its recommendation to appoint Conrad Lutombi as Chief Executive Officer of the City of Windhoek.

The CEO's position became vacant following the resignation of Robert Kahimise in October 2020.

The City of Windhoek received 60 applications when the position was advertised in April.

Only 16 met the requirements.

Roads Authority Chief Executive Officer Conrad Lutombi is concerned about uncleanliness along the Trans-Zambezi Highway.
 
Lutombi expressed this during a stakeholders' cleanup campaign along the Trans-Zambezi Highway as part of the community sensitisation on the sustainable benefits of clean roads and environmental care.
