Namibia has welcomed India's proposal under the "Pharmacy of the World" initiative to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility locally.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah made this statement during discussions with India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, at State House.

This was announced by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Jenelly Matundu during a reception in Windhoek, marking the 76th Republic Day of India. 

India has committed to supplying Namibia with Bhabhatron machines for the treatment of cancer at Oshakati Intermediate Hospital.

Relevant documents have already been submitted to the Namibian government regarding this.
