Amupanda, Hinda-Mbeunde N$ 1 million case postponed

Job Amupanda testified in the Windhoek High Court today, where he faces a N$1 million defamation suit by Deputy Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises, Maureen Hinda-Mbuende.

Amupanda clarified that his Facebook comments aimed to highlight Hinda-Mbuende as a strong advocate for the country's independence, not to defame her.

He accused Hinda-Mbuende of interpreting the comments politically and using the court to settle scores. Cross-examination by Hinda-Mbuende's lawyer, Doris Hans-Kaumbi, will follow after lunch.

Dr.Job Amupanda tables a motion on empowerment and framework establishment

Affirmative Repositioning Movement councillor on the Windhoek City Council, Dr. Job Amupanda, has tabled a motion aiming to empower and establish a framework for councillors to advocate for development.

The motion titled "Councillors as Development Ambassadors and Champions" has been approved by the Council and will be referred to the management committee for further discussions.

Michael Amushelelo & Job Amupanda battle it out on social media

A subtle Twitter war is brewing between activist Michael Amushelelo and AR frontman, Job Amupanda.

Amushelelo has called out Dr. Amupanda, who in 2019 took a swipe at the Windhoek municipality leadership for subjecting its cleaners to working without permanent contracts and with no medical aid or pension.

Amupanda tweeted his concerns before he ascended to the mayoral chair.

The NEFF Commissar, who now leads a protest by the Windhoek Municipality cleaners, is accusing Amupanda of having used the cleaners’ plight to expedite his political career.

AR leader Dr Job Amupanda vows to fight corruption

Dr Amupanda addressed the AR reorganization and formalization meeting that was held at Walvis Bay.

Dr Amupanda says the political outlook is informed by various radical world analysts, particularly in reference to the question of the exploitation of certain groups by others.

Attorney Mbandeka dismisses AR's claim

Attorney General Festus Mbandeka dismissed AR Leader Dr Job Amupanda's claims when quizzed on the allegations that they, as respondents, are pursuing an agenda to deliberately delay the case to drain him financially.

Mbandeka, in a telephonic conversation with nbc News, says anyone, including Dr Amupanda, is at liberty to seek relief in the High Court if aggrieved.

AR accuse respondents in Redline removal case of deploying delaying tactics

The Affirmative Repositioning movement has accused the respondents in a case in which it demands the removal of the Veterinary Cordon Fence of deploying delaying tactics to avoid arguments on the merits of the case.

AR activist-in-chief, Dr. Job Amupanda, was referring to technical arguments in the case, which are not necessarily the merits of the case.

Dr. Amupanda says these delaying tactics are aimed at financially draining him and derailing him from proceeding with the case.
