Affirmative Repositioning leader Job Amupanda questioned the Prime Minister whether police officials assigned to government VIPs should be subjected to carrying out duties that do not fall within their job description.

Professor Amupanda says he received a complaint by a VIP official that he was requested by a child of a senior government official to pick them up at a club.

"Married man, two, one o'clock in the morning, he is being called by the child to come and pick me up. When he goes there, the child is drunk. So the question was, what is the official position of government? Is that, is that, this driver assigned to a VIP? Is it a government position that also extends to the children?"

The Prime Minister, Elijah Ngurare, explained that the officer should elevate the matter to his superior, as they shouldn't be subjected to such incidences.

"What I would advise is perhaps the man that is afraid, or maybe who is unable to elevate this matter to his immediate superior, because normally what we know of the police is that they have their own – what do you call them? – that all command structures. So normally, the moment certain things or whatever incidents occur, they must elevate them immediately."
