Epinga Village gains reliable mobile network access

The 10,000-strong community of Epinga Village in the Ohangwena region's Omundaungilo Constituency now has reliable access to the country's mobile networks.

This is thanks to the launch of a new 4G tower there, courtesy of the Universal Service Fund. 

MTC opens mobile home in Divundu

Residents of Divundu and surrounding areas in the Kavango East Region will now be able to access mobile communication services after MTC opened a mobile home in the town. 

Before the introduction of the new mobile home, locals had to travel 200 kilometres to the nearest facility in Rundu.

Telecom Namibia is strengthening collaboration with government institutions to advance digital transformation and connectivity across the public sector.

A two-day annual stakeholders' engagement between Telecom Namibia and government offices, ministries, and agencies is underway in Swakopmund.

Powercom commissions 25 network towers across Namibia

ICT infrastructure and equipment provider Powercom this afternoon commissioned a total of 25 network towers: two in Omusati, four in Erongo, seven in |Khomas, two in Otjozondjupa, two each in Kavango East and West, one in  ||Kharas, one in Oshana, one in Oshikoto, and three in the Zambezi Region.

The government has announced urgent measures to restore road infrastructure following severe damage caused by recent heavy rains. 

A bridge on the B1 road between Windhoek and Rehoboth suffered extensive damage, which prompted emergency interventions from the Roads Authority.
