The City of Windhoek held its last ordinary council meeting before it elects new office-bearers and closes off the 2022 calendar.

One of the activities, and the one that residents have been waiting for, is the appointment of the City's substantive Chief Executive Officer.

After a protracted and at times controversial recruitment process, the Council approved the appointment of Conrad Lutombi, who finally got the minister's blessing.
