Shack dwellers receive low-cost houses at Narraville

Minister of Urban and Rural Development Erastus Utoni has handed over 66 low-cost housing units to the Shack Dwellers Federation at Narraville in Walvis Bay.

Utoni further vowed the government's continued financial support to the federation to ensure that residents get decent housing and land.

The journey of 66 new home owners at Narraville Walvis Bay started in 2007 when they applied for land, which the municipality donated in 2010.

For as little as one dollar per day, the members saved money, indicating their unwavering belief in their cause.

IPC reaffirms to fight corruption come 2024

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) believes it has what it takes to end corruption, come 2024.

Trevino Forbes, the party's vice president for the Erongo Region, stated this during a recruitment drive in Narraville, Walvis Bay.

"We are the party that puts principles above privilege. We are not faced with positions; we are faced with making a change. All of us standing here joined IPC because we saw the need for change. If everything had gone well, we would not have joined political parties, and we would have been happy."
