Khorixas residents have welcomed the first vocational training centre in the region, which was inaugurated by President Nangolo Mbumba last year.

Residents of Khorixas in the Kunene Region have expressed that they do not want to be remembered only when it's election time or on matters that have to do with elections. 

At Khorixas, part of about 500 uniformed officers who registered as voters in the region cast their votes.

By 16:00, the Khorixas polling station had captured 93 voters.

By the afternoon, Opuwo recorded 231 voters, while Okanguati recorded 55.

Kunene Governor Marius Sheya has warned against tribalistic remarks pitting the Damara and Nama tribesmen at Khorixas.
