The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) has filed notices against the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), alleging widespread irregularities in the recent Presidential and National Assembly elections. 

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) says it is prepared to provide answers to questions emanating from the November 27th national elections as well as the inspection of non-sensitive election materials.

The inspection of voting material used during the National Assembly election held last month continues at the Electoral Commission of Namibia’s headquarters.

ECN Commissioner Pius Iikwambi says the process is proceeding smoothly so far and expressed confidence they will be done by 17:00 today.

The Electoral Court is set to hear arguments from the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) and the Landless People's Movement (LPM) on Friday.
