A bust created in honour of the leader of the insurrection against the German Empire, which took place between 1904 and 1908 is one of the few reminders of the war of resistance that took place in the ||Karas Region at the time. Jackob Marengo's bust was unveiled by former president Hifikepuinye Pohmba in 2008 at Warmbad.
