The Southern Traditional Communities' Foundation has reiterated its support for Government in the genocide negotiations.

The STCF Chairperson, Dawid Gertze made the comment at a media conference held at Keetmanshoop.

Gertze appeals to the Government to expedite the genocide reparations talks with Germany in coordination with all parties involved and bring it to a conclusion.

"We are happy with what has been achieved through the process and reiterate our full support, in the same vein we request that the Government of Namibia with our representatives expeditiously conclude the remaining part which to our understanding is more of an administrative nature".

Gertze furthermore implored the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs to undertake a visit to the southern regions to interview war veterans who have not yet been granted status.

The pain our people have gone through and still do is undeserved and unbearable and cannot be prolonged any longer, he added.

Expressing concern over youth unemployment, Gertze is advocating for equal employment opportunities for all Namibians.

"We demand from all government and private employers to demonstrate fairness to all eligible candidates without any tribal or demographic bias and that all be treated with respect through a just process. If Namibia belongs to all, jobs should be availed to all in a just and transparent manner. We must ensure not to be seen as driving a tribal agenda against the odds of our hard-fought independence which defied all forms of racism and discrimination".
