An operation by the Zambezi Regional police, to tackle housebreakings has resulted in a number of items being confiscated.
Among the items confiscated from the banks of the Zambezi River were 85 fuel containers, only ten were filled.
Other items include three bicycles, a number of pots, traditional mats, methylated spirits and traditional brooms.
Unit Commander of Community Policing Inspector Kisco Sitali described the Genesis Operation which started on 28 April and is expected to end 30 May, as successful.
But Sitali was quick to note that despite the successful operation, more needs to be done to curb illegal criminal activities along the Namibia-Zambia borders.
