The government believes that investments and trade activities, especially in the manufacturing, farming and agro-processing business sectors are fundamental to economic growth.

This was said by the Minister of Industrialisation and Trade, Lucia Iipumbu when she officially opened the 13th Eenhana Expo in Ohangwena region.

The expo is being held under the theme: "Reviving Local Economy Rhrough Business Resilience, Innovation and Diversification "

Speaking at the occasion, Iipumbu says the exhibition is crucial since it has brought together various Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises from Ohangwena and other parts of the country to share ideas, which could lead to the creation and development of new enterprises, job opportunities, value addition, and poverty alleviation in the communities..

"Our expos are a platform where business networks and relationships are formed between customers, producers, and suppliers that will sustain the survival of businesses. The Namibian government believes that investments and trade activities, especially in the manufacturing, farming and agro-processing business sectors are key fundamental to the economic growth of our country."

Iipumbu further says, for businesses to thrive, innovation should be looked from a broader perspective, which includes new products development, innovative business models and processes, as well as embracing modern business management style.
