The Swapo Party Coordinator for the Ohangwena Region, Phillemon Josua, says the regional leadership is not in support of those who want to demonstrate against the appointment of NamPol's former chief, Sebastian Ndeitunga, as governor.

Josua pleaded with party members to desist from partaking in unproductive activities.

"It's on this ground that the Swapo Party Ohangwena regional leadership distances itself from motions to reject the appointment of Sebastian Ndeitunga as governor of the Ohangwena region. The Swapo Party regional leadership welcomes the appointment by the president to exercise his power."

The leadership also thanked Walde Ndevashiya for his contribution and service to the people of Ohangwena and the party.
