Cases of domestic violence and drug abuse remain the most reported at Outjo.
Outjo Police Station Commander and Chief Inspector Seun Karupa, however, say they are on alert to respond to any distress call.
Chief Inspector Karupa says since last week, seven alcohol-related domestic violence cases have been reported.
The Outjo Police has since the start of the festive season recorded 86 cases of illegal hunting, stock theft, and house break-ins.
Chief Inspector Karupa added that although there are no fixed roadblocks in the area, mobile teams have proven effective in tackling crime and traffic-related incidents.
The mobile teams operate on the existing routes of Outjo-Otjiwarongo, Outjo-Khorixas, Outjo-Kamanjab-Etosha, and Outjo-Otavi.
The police operations are backed up by 17 reservists, three groups of women and men, and three neighbourhood watch groups.
Patrols on foot in the informal settlements are also visible to maintain law and order.
