The Namibia Aquatics Sport Federation President, Rian Steyn, expressed admiration for the participants' outstanding performances at the 4-day Bank Windhoek Namibian National Long Course Swimming Championships.

Considered a key event on the federation's annual calendar, the Long Course Championships featured approximately 177 swimmers from the Masters and Open categories competing in events like the 50m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley, and relays.

The competition, held from Thursday to Sunday, concluded successfully, providing a platform for swimmers to excel and surpass expectations, as highlighted by President Rian Steyn.

During the closing ceremony, top performers in each category were awarded medals, with exceptional achievers receiving trophies in recognition of their accomplishments.

After the intense four-day event, swimmers reflected on their performances, sharing their thoughts and experiences.

In a joyous team tradition, Dolphins Swimming Club Coach Janid Stergidis shared his sentiments amidst celebrations, culminating in the coach being thrown into the pool, accompanied by natural sounds and applause.

Looking ahead, the Namibia Aquatics Sport Federation sets its focus on the upcoming AA Championships in Luanda, Angola, scheduled to commence on April 30th. This will pave the way for the Short Course season, featuring five swimming galas starting in May.
